About the author

My name is Ty. I live in Midtown. I didn’t always live here in Memphis. Having worked in the entertainment business for 15 years, I have heard it all. I rarely attend shows anymore, but I still listen to music, I paint, and I read. I read many books. This is just a small sample of books in the house.

Oh yeah. I ride my bicycle. To work. Daily.

A perfect day in the park.

I have recently moved back to Midtown and love what it currently offers. There is so much to see and do, so get out there and live loud Midtown!

  1. Ty,
Just want to say Hi. Thanks for the regular shout outs for “Coffee Town” RC. I’m sure the tags help us.
Also thanks for the interview with my dad, maybe you know, maybe not, but Dennis McDougal is my step father.

I may soon have to add you to the employee list to allow someone else to make Mayor of RC? Well allow you to continue though until proper elections can take place.

  2. Thanks Fitz. I’ll let others have a chance at becoming mayor of RC. I guess half a year or more is enough 🙂 I will send you a message on FB. Cheers!

  3. Hey Ty, that has been graciously taking our photos, Ty?? I was googling us and found this site, heard of it, and now I can follow 🙂 I’m just doing a little research for our upcoming blog as well, yay!

  4. Ty,

I’m doing a video story on the upcoming addition of bike lanes in Midtown for Insight News at the University of Memphis. I was looking for someone to speak with who advocated the project, and that’s when I stumbled upon your post. If you are willing to sit down with me for a short interview sometime in the near future, please contact me at tbrnwter@memphis.edu. I am looking to have the story done within the next week, so please just let me know as soon as possible.

    Thank you,
    Ben Rainwater

  5. Your blog is awesome!
