Sunday Midtown. Get ready for the work week.
Yes, I spent Sunday getting over my Saturday night hangover. My aching head. Breakfast? Taco’s. Didn’t help the hangover. Lunch? Huey’s. I need grease in my belly!

The burger helped somewhat. I then went home and took a nap.
Let’s rewind to Saturday. I worked. I worked from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. On a Saturday. Okay, the money is good. But still. I like having Saturday off. After I finished work, I went directly to a new restaurant, Arepa and Salsa on Madison Ave. (a half block west from The Trolley Stop restaurant).
We met a friend for dinner there. I wasn’t happy about eating at this new place, a Venezuelan diner, but I gave Arepa and Salsa a shot. I’m glad I did. The food is good.

After dinner I made the mistake of picking up some Fireball.
Yes, I completely blame the Fireball for the Sunday headache.
My wife did go by La Michoacana to pick up some treats. She purchased caramel ice cream and fruit pops.
The melon pops taste great. No wonder “Urban Spoon-ers” gives La Michoacana 98% “likes”. And to this day I cannot pronounce the name of the place.
I also purchased the Walmart TruConnect MiFi unit.
So yes, I am connected 24/7 now. Great for travel or when wifi is not available. The unit sold for $79. The data plan costs $10. TOTAL. Not every month, just $10 for 500 MB of data. When you run out, you can buy more. The connection rate is not super fast, but works well enough to read the news, checking in using social media, ect. I’m happy with it.
The good news this week is that my work schedule changes back to normal hours. I can ride my bike to work for the next two weeks. My messenger bag is packed and ready to go for my morning ride. Here I come Memphis Greenline.
Plans for this week include the film “Bicycle Dreams” 01/24/2013 @ 7:00 PM @ the Brooks Museum. $12 in advance.
Friday, Jan. 25th is Trolley Night downtown. Take in some wine, art and people watching downtown. Maybe some bbq as well? Have a great Monday and I will see YOU back here for more love.
