The weekend is here Midtown. Get out.
What did I do today? I have been reading “My Appetite for Destruction” by former G and R drummer Steven Adler.
Yes, more sex, drugs and rock and roll. Actually the book is HEAVY on the drug use. But the book is still a good read.
For dinner we headed over to Memphis Pizza Cafe. To easy. We ordered salad and a calzone.

I am addicted to the salad at MPC and I have no idea why. Awesome.
I have been itching for some new (read “classic rock”) music. With a Christmas gift card, I headed over to Amazon.com and downloaded a GREAT album; Rose Tattoo by Rose Tattoo.
Fantastic band and a fantastic album. “Nice Boys” rocks out and “The Butcher and Fast Eddy” is a classic stomper. The band sounds like AC/DC and just bashes out the music. There’s no fluff here. “All killer, no filler.” I’m not sure how the album has escaped me for so many years. Glad I purchased it.
Aldo’s Pizza Pies downtown tweeted a message last night; “Followers Special- Come in now til Kitchen closes at 11 & get to try a Slice Of The Day on us!! Show your server this tweet for a SOTD!” I just suggested this week to follow your favorite restaurant on Twitter or Facebook to get specials. Free pizza sounds like a good special to me.
