Two for Tuesday Midtown. Prepare yourself for another “extra large, in your face, I’m gonna super size it, with a side of nacho’s” post.

And the day began. With coffee. And talk. Yep. I spent a good while talking about plumbing with a friend this morning. Plumbing problems make for some interesting conversation. No really. People act weird when they have plumbing problems. Good stories.

My ride to work went well. Nothing much to report other than the birds chirping and the bee’s singing. Wait, is that right?

I found this on Facebook:

Central BBQ – Sunday April 1st, 4:00 p.m.

“Hope to see all our friends and fans this Sunday! We’ll be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Live Music by Nancy Apple, Brandon McGovern and Mean Scooter. Cold Beer, Hot BBQ! $10 BBQ Buffet begins at 4pm. $10 Ribs and T Shirts. Make sure to stay for the after dark dance party!”

$10 buffet? Sign me up. This should be a packed event. Central Ave. location. My money is on the bbq going fast, so don’t show up late.

More food? Mulan restaurant in Cooper Young is now delivering. Yup. If you are hungry, get your noodles delivered.

From Facebook Cooper Young Historic District:

“Mulan Bistro is delivering to a 5 mile radius from their new location at 2149 Young Avenue, 347-3979 – eat in, take out, delivery or patio dining.”

It appears we will NOT go hungry this weekend Midtown. Bring your appetite.

As I made my way home tonight from work, I met up with another bicycle commuter. I see him every now and then. We both travel from the bottom of Shelby Farms, to the top of Shelby Farms. He then heads north, while I head west. Although he pedals faster than I do, he always slows his ride so we can talk while we ride. We talk about our bike rides, bike baskets, what we wear, ect. Funny, he noticed my new bike basket and helmet. If you want to make some new friends, get a bike. It’s that easy.

Dinner tonight? Spaghetti. And then we headed to the Italian Film Festival at U of M. (I didn’t plan the spaghetti dinner, it just happened like that.)

Good movie tonight. The film? “Into Paradiso”. A light comedy this one. The two feature performers were excellent. Again, the festival is FREE. AND… FREE snacks and soda were offered to the audience. Hey Memphis, just show up. That’s all you have to do. Free movie, free drinks and free snacks. To easy.

And thank you to the new blog readers. Get out and enjoy life. That’s what this blog is all about.
