Two for Tuesday Midtown. The temperature is continuing to drop, get out your sweaters and jackets.

So, no bike ride to work with the rain and cold today. I did stop in for coffee this morning and read the paper for a good while. Oh look, Janice Fullilove was asking how the city could STOP the bike lanes along Madison from becoming reality. Are you kidding? Hey Janice, the bike lanes are a done deal. Get over it and move on. Wait, didn’t I see Janice at any of the three bike lane meetings? Does Janice Fullilove even own a bicycle? There is a reason why other city governments make fun of Memphis City Council. Yes, let’s give the federal funding back to the government for the bike lanes, and have the city pay for the Madison paving project. That is brilliant. Is there any mental test city councilman are required to take prior to taking office? Read all about the stupidity here from the Commercial Appeal. Time to write another letter to Ms. Fullilove.

The work day had an interesting turn of events. Our office received a letter from a customer going over what our office is doing right and what the office is doing wrong. I believe customer feedback is great for any business. This was not a letter of complaint, but a customer stating the customer perception. Good stuff.

And speaking of customer feedback, the Cooper Young Beer Fest is looking for comments from customers. What went right? What went wrong? How can the event be better next year? Send your comments to: cybeerfest@gmail.com. My email is headed their way.

I did find an interesting note from the India Fest marketing staff. India Fest takes place November 5th at the Agricenter. While I have not attended India Fest in the past, I do believe the differences in cultures makes for a richer life. Why do you think I live in Midtown? Midtown offers everything from A to Z, making my neighborhood much more interesting. Different music, food, art is great for everyone. So, check out the event at the Agricenter. Ask questions, observe and enjoy the event.

Wrap up warm and enjoy your hump day. Get out and live loud Midtown.
